The Strike Industries Full Duty Gridlok Handguard HK 416 Aluminum Black is specifically designed for Law Enforcement and Special Operations communities who have adopted the HK416/M27 IAR platform in the U.S. and all around the world. The Full Duty Gridlok Handguard for 416 gives you a primary, a secondary or multiple setup option as a quick and direct handguard swap. The GRIDLOK Rail for 416 has the SI patent pending Quick Rail Detach GRIDLOK locking latch. The rail mounts on using the factory HK OEM barrel nut, in seconds you can replace the HK standard rail with an outfitted GRIDLOK as a primary handguard and use your HK rail as a secondary handguard. You can outfit and setup the GRIDLOK as a secondary handguard for a specific mission or you can get multiple GRIDLOK Rail’s in different lengths to configure for different missions. With the Quick Rail detach system, a simple push and pull of the of the quick detach (QD) latch, you have the handguard off in seconds to make any adjustments to an adjustable gas block or installation/removal of a suppressor easier. Integrated into the front of the GRIDLOK is the built-in flip up backup iron sight (BUIS). M-LOK accessories can be attached and mounted along the rail at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions. In the rear of the handguard you will find four integrated 360° free swivel QD sockets at 2, 4 8 and 10 o’clock positions. The rear rail tab helps index into the HK upper receiver to center the top rail and ensure proper alignment. The cut in front was designed to help fit suppressors up to 1.57″ (39.9mm) in diameter and of course all SI muzzle devises including the SI OPPRESSOR line for those looking for that tucked look. Note: The two locking screw at base can only be easily adjusted when the base is not mounted on barrel nut. It is not recommended to adjust the locking tightness when you mount it on barrel nut. Before every use, always check proper function of your QD mount and any wear and tear from use.
