Here is an opportunity to own a unique part of the Winchester legacy. It was one of the first rifles to incorporate a non-detachable box magazine. This is the rifle Teddy Roosevelt took on his famous African safari, the one he called his “Big Medicine.” This is the rifle that became the preference of major powers worldwide, with Russia alone purchasing nearly 300,000 1895s just before World War I. It has a scalloped receiver, two-piece lever, Schnabel forearm and straight grip stock. The barrel and receiver have been polished to give it a glossy, deep black/blue appearance. The walnut stock and forearm have been precisely fit and finely checkered.
With its quick handling characteristics, box magazine and pointed bullet capability, the Model 1895 changed the world of sporting rifles forever. Today’s Winchester Model 1895 has every bit and more of the integrity, reliability, and accuracy that legends are made of.

I have waited and searched for this rifle for outdoor range use for nearly two years. The firearm has always been sold out and unavailable from multiple vendors. Needless to say how thrilled I was to see the product notification. Accurate and without a single feed issue using standard 9mm FMJ’s and SR9C magazines. What a blast to use.

I had not shot a rifle for over 30 years, since the days of my youth when I shot often. I like the looks and versatility this gun. Nice aftermarket upgrades are available and the design of the carbine makes it very customizable. This weapon shot accurately from the first shot at 25 yards, despite my poor eyesight and arthritic neck.

Received gun in great condition. Dropped in TrigerTech Primary trigger set to 1.5lbs and went to the range. 5 shot groups at 100 yards with Hornady 140 gr ELD Match had 4 in one ragged hole with the 5th just outside not touching. A true 1/2MOA gun with factory ammunition. I’m absolutely thrilled!
