Brown Bess was the musket used by English, European, Mexican, and other troops in wars and colonization nearly the world over, including the British empire’s extension into the thirteen colonies. This reproduction has a lock with the signature of gunsmith William Grice, the date 1762, and a crown and the letters GR, for Georgius Rex, King George III of England. Features a smooth-bore barrel with a satin steel finish and an oil-finished walnut stock.
