Cimarron’s “Rifle Down Under,” replica emulates Quigley’s movie Sharps in detail! It features a color cased butt plate, receiver, hammer, lever and the attractive Model 1859 patch box, that accompanies a richly blued, 34-inch octagon barrel, all screws and double-set triggers. Modern advancements in metallurgy allow this rifle to shoot original black powder cartridge loads or modern smokeless powder.
Highlighting this silver screen lookalike, single-shot side hammer long gun is a handsome checkered walnut stock with its pewter-tipped forearm, just like the film’s 1870s-style buffalo gun. I was able to get this out to the local 25yd indoor range, and all I can say is that this gun is FUN!! It shoots like a dream and is easy to point. I had to adjust the elevation on the sight slightly (was hitting low at 15yds), but otherwise it went bang every time!

Received gun in great condition. Dropped in TrigerTech Primary trigger set to 1.5lbs and went to the range. 5 shot groups at 100 yards with Hornady 140 gr ELD Match had 4 in one ragged hole with the 5th just outside not touching. A true 1/2MOA gun with factory ammunition. I’m absolutely thrilled!
