Alexander Arms Pepper Pot Muzzle Brake 50 Beowulf 49/64″-20 Thread Steel Matte Information
The Alexander Arms Pepper Pot Muzzle Brake features a symmetrical design with five simple rows of holes arranged in a helical pattern to redirect the muzzle gas and produce a brake effect on the recoil of the weapon. The internal bore is conical to help with gas flow and also creates plenty of clearance for the projectile. The effects of a brake are always subjective, but a conservative reduction of 30% of recoil is not unusual. While the .50 Beowulf may never be described as a quiet gun, this brake does not significantly increase the noise nor does it produce any back-blast to the shooter or anyone in the near vicinity. This brake is well suited to a hunting weapon, providing protection for the barrel crown in addition to recoil reduction.
Please note that Alexander Arms tells us these brakes are only for use with 49/64″-20 threads of their specification.
